Large pocket watch size, common for railroad grade, this watch is a perfect example of early American watchmaking from the period when Hamilton was establishing its reputation for high quality and accuracy. The movement with the serial number corresponding to production around 1903 is a highly sought after vintage piece. Screw front to Lever Set (a small lever near the bezel must be pulled out to set the time) a feature common in watches made to meet strict railroad standards to prevent accidental time changes. Stem Wind with hairspring made by high end watch brand Breguet. It is adjusted; Regulated for accuracy in different positions and/or for temperature. Watch was inspected and running and keeping accurate time as of listing but sold as is and time keeping is not guaranteed. Pocket watch is in amazing beautiful condition being kept for over 70 years in a safe.
